Grade 8 - Learning how to create a screen capture

To all EVEN section 8th graders

The screen capture project is underway.

Students will find 10 images online and take a screen capture of each one. All screen captures will then be cropped and then put into a word doc along with titles for each.


The procedure is straight forward. Create a screen capture using MS paint, then crop it, and then copy and paste the image into a .DOC file. Title each capture using the titles given.

If any student has any questions see the teacher asap to get them answered.



Grade 7 - Engineering Design Process - Stage Project


To all EVEN section 7th graders. The stage project is now underway. All students should be working to complete the first part of the Stage Project. 

Following the design process, students will design, build and test a stage having the ability to hold at least 25 lbs for 5 seconds. If you hold 25 lbs, more weight will be added to see how much weight your stage can hold.

2. Researching for ideas
                                       3. Developing three potential ideas
                                       4. Selecting the Best solution.

If you have any questions be sure to speak with the teacher ASAP to get them answered. 

Grade 6 - Project 1 - Learning how to measure in inches

Project 1 - Measuring in Inches has begun. Students shall complete the measuring worksheets -> 1", 1/2", 1/4", 1/8", 1/16"

Each sheet adds the next level of accuracy and shows the students how to properly obtain the correct measurement.

If you have any questions be sure to get them answered as soon as possible.

Grade 6-7-8 - Course Outlines

Engineering / Technology Course Outlines are being passed out to all grades. Both you and your parent/legal guardian needs to sign them. This lets us know you have read the course outline and agree to the class expectations, routines and discipline policy. Remember to return them by next cycle to receive full credit.

We want every student to start the year on a high note so get those forms back to us.
