7th Grade - Let's go CO2 car Racing!!

 An incredible amount of time and effort went into this project and the picture below shows the great results. 

The best part.......that's not even all of them. 

7th Grade Design Process CO2 project will be racing in two weeks

 

To 7th graders

Great job to all students who are creating their CO2 car. Using the design process the students have created a variety of ideas. In the picture below you can see (front) completed cars, cars being assembled, car that have been primed but need final painting and assembly.  Then there is the large group of car bodies needing priming, painting and final assembly.  No matter what, the students are doing a great job and I can't wait to see how fast their designs will go.

6th Graders have begun learning how to program

 6th graders have begun learning how to program using Tynker. Each chapter provides instruction for the students to learn new ideas and concepts. At the end of each chapter the student will be quizzed.

6th grade - Full Scale drawings have begun.

 The 6th grade students in Mr. Falcon's class have begun learning how to create a full scale drawing. 

Make sure to bring pencils and erasers in order to be prepared. All other tools will be provided.

7th Grade Design Process CO2 project update

To 7th graders

Great job on the CO2 Dragster design process. Below shows the variety of ideas created by the students. 

Racing went very well this week at speeds in the 30mph range were obtained.

6th Grade - Programming using Tynker

 6th graders have begun learning how to program using Tynker. Each chapter provides instruction for the students to learn new ideas and concepts. At the end of each chapter the student will be quizzed.

7th Grade - Tower Project building is underway.

 The 7th graders are now focused on building their towers. The picture below shows the progress so far. 

 It should be noted, the picture only shows the top layer of builds, under most platforms will be another built tower side. 

6th Grade - Learning how to measure in Inches and full Scale Drawings have begun.

 To 6th graders in the following sections - 

We have begun to learn how to measure in inches. Following that first step, we will move onto creating full scale drawings. 

 

Make sure to bring pencils and erasers in order to be prepared. 

7th Grade - The Design Process project has Started

 To 7th Grade

Learning about the Design Process project has begun. Students will research, design, build and test a Balsa wood tower. To see just one of the many ideas check out the video.

8th Grade - Decimal to Binary Conversions

 To all student who currently have Mr. Falcon for Eng/Tech:

Students will be learning how to convert from Decimal to Binary and then how to convert from Binary back to Decimal. Any student needing extra assistance should make use of Raider time. 

8th Grade - Congratulations to the Robotics Sumo Competition

 Congratulation to Team...

RICE and BEANS

The winner from the first half of the year had to wait until the second half determined their winner. Then it was the best of 5 matches to determine the overall winner. Which they did in 2 straight wins, lost one and then another win to end 3-1.

Congrats!!!! Job Well Done. 

8th Grade - Sumo Competition will occur next week.

 To all 8th Grade students

As you can see from the pictures showing only some of the qualified robots, teams are ready for next weeks Sumo Competition. Good Luck to all. 

7th Grade - Incredible result for the Design Process.

 The stage went on to hold 189lbs before collapsing. Excellent result!!! Great Job!!!

6th grade - Learning how to program using Tynker has begun.

In the next few classes we will be getting all the students logged into their accounts and start the process of learning Computer Science. Or as some would say, learning how to program.

Let the designing take place. Students in 7th grade have begun their design of a CO2 dragster. As you can see from the picture below, there are many ideas that will create a very fast car.
