Grade 6 - Full Scale Drawing #1

To all Even section 6th grade students

As a guide, all students should have begun work on their first graded drawing. Each drawing should take about 2 classes in order to stay on track.

If any student has any questions please speak with Mr. Falcon ASAP.

Grade 7 - Design Process Part 1 is now Due

To all Even Section 7th grade students.

The Part 1 of the design process project called The Stage project is now due. Be sure to pass in all 4 steps. Once you have completed these steps you will be given a folder which you are to start building with..

If you have any questions get them answered ASAP with Mr. Falcon.

Grade 8 - Introduction to Database Project using ACCESS is DUE

To all EVEN section 8th grade students.

The first project Database assignment is now due. Within MS Access the students created a table with all the proper fields and title. The students were then to enter their Album data (from their homework) into the table and perform queries to obtain the answers from the project.

The students had two classes to complete this project.

If you have any questions be sure to speak with Mr. Falcon as soon as possible.

Grade 6 - Learning how to create a Full Scale Drawing

To all EVEN section 6th Graders:

We have started to learn how to create a full scale drawing.

Students will learn how to set up their drawing with a boarder and information box. From there they will be shown how to use their boarder to create their first practice drawing. The drawing will have two views: Front and Side. The Front will show the 3" x 4" side and the side will be 3" x 1".

Once the student has completed all parts of the practice drawing they will use what they have learned to complete 2 full scale drawings on their own which will be graded.

Grade 8 - Introduction to Database Project using ACCESS

Grade 8 - Learning how to create a screen capture

To all EVEN section 8th graders

The screen capture project is underway.

Students will find 10 images online and take a screen capture of each one. All screen captures will then be cropped and then put into a word doc along with titles for each.

The procedure is straight forward. Create a screen capture using MS paint, then crop it, and then copy and paste the image into a .DOC file. Title each capture using the titles given.

If any student has any questions see the teacher asap to get them answered.

Grade 7 - Engineering Design Process - Stage Project

To all EVEN section 7th graders. The stage project is now underway. All students should be working to complete the first part of the Stage Project. 

Following the design process, students will design, build and test a stage having the ability to hold at least 25 lbs for 5 seconds. If you hold 25 lbs, more weight will be added to see how much weight your stage can hold.
