Grade 7 - Computer Number Systems

To all EVEN section 7th graders

All students should be through the 3 Computer Number Systems worksheets.

They include:

Decimal to Binary
Decimal to Octal
Decimal to Hexadecimal

All work sheets AND STEP 3 of the Design Process must be completed before moving on to the CO2 dragster project.

Grade 7 - Design Process Testing Results

To all EVEN section 7th grade students:

Testing is underway. We've seen many different design ideas leading to many students being amazed at their excellent results. Below are some of the student's ideas so far.

Grade 6 - Introduction to programming using Scratch has begun.

To all EVEN section 6th graders:

Accounts have been given out to all 6th graders and we have begun to learn how to program using Scratch.

Reminder: The teacher does not have access to your password. If you lose your password the teacher can only reset your account back to the original default password. From there you can change it back to your personal choice.

3rd Quarter Project Due Dates

To all EVEN section students the following projects are all due by March 29, 2019.

6th Grade - All three Full Scale Drawings

7th Grade - Design Process Section 1 & 2

8th Grade - All Four Scratch Programs

If ANY students needs assistance in any way please  speak with the teacher ASAP to schedule help during an 8th Period PC lab time.

8th Grade SUMO Robotics competition covered by local media

It's always nice to see students hard work covered by the local media so when I learned South Coast released a story about the ODD section winners of the Lego SUMO competition I had to post it here.

Grade 6 - Full Scale Drawings

To All Even section students

All 6th graders should now be working towards finishing their 3 full scale drawings.

Please keep in mind that all drawings need to be completed before the end of the term. If you have any questions, concerns or would like additional time and/or help, be sure to see your teacher during the Computer Lab to get all the help you are asking for.

Grade 8 - Intro to Programming using Scratch has begun.

To All EVEN section 8th grade students:

Introduction to Programming using Scratch has begun with it's first project.

The areas we will be concentrating on are:

-Looping

-Conditionals

-Variables

-Expressions

-Functions (time permitted)

Upon successful completion of the above projects students will be tasked with creating their own scrolling Game as a final project for this unit.
