Grade 8 - Learning how to create a screen capture

To all EVEN section 8th graders

The screen capture project is underway.

Students will find 10 images online and take a screen capture of each one. All screen captures will then be cropped and then put into a word doc along with titles for each.

The procedure is straight forward. Create a screen capture using MS paint, then crop it, and then copy and paste the image into a .DOC file. Title each capture using the titles given.

If any student has any questions see the teacher asap to get them answered.

Grade 7 - Engineering Design Process - Stage Project

To all EVEN section 7th graders. The stage project is now underway. All students should be working to complete the first part of the Stage Project. 

Following the design process, students will design, build and test a stage having the ability to hold at least 25 lbs for 5 seconds. If you hold 25 lbs, more weight will be added to see how much weight your stage can hold.

2. Researching for ideas
                                       3. Developing three potential ideas
                                       4. Selecting the Best solution.

If you have any questions be sure to speak with the teacher ASAP to get them answered. 

Grade 6 - Project 1 - Learning how to measure in inches

Project 1 - Measuring in Inches has begun. Students shall complete the measuring worksheets -> 1", 1/2", 1/4", 1/8", 1/16"

Each sheet adds the next level of accuracy and shows the students how to properly obtain the correct measurement.
If you have any questions be sure to get them answered as soon as possible.

Grade 6-7-8 - Course Outlines

Engineering / Technology Course Outlines are being passed out to all grades. Both you and your parent/legal guardian needs to sign them. This lets us know you have read the course outline and agree to the class expectations, routines and discipline policy. Remember to return them by next cycle to receive full credit.

We want every student to start the year on a high note so get those forms back to us.

Last day of the Half

To all Engineering and Technology students:

Starting on Jan 27, 2017 all students will be switching teachers. All ODD section students will now report to Mr. Medeiros and all EVEN section students will report to Mr. Falcon.

We look forward to a productive second half of the year.

Grade 7 - Pitsco Dragster Project has begun.

To all ODD 7th grade students

Depending upon how the schedule lands, all 7th grade students should be working on the Pitsco Dragster project. This project can be thought of as their final because it will incorporate much of what they have learned since Sept with the addition of understanding Transportation.

Grade 8 - HTML Project 3- Lists, Lists and More Lists - is now due

To all ODD section 8th grade students.

Project 3 which has the students learning how to incorporate Lists and additional Tags into their code is now due for grading.

The students should have added these new tags to their previous Virtual Pizza Restaurant website to once again improve the look, feel and functionality of their site.
